Books that are rare and out-of-printMost of our volumes are rare, rescued gems. Many are out of print and are very difficult to find.
|
Books that nourish the soulLiving books do not present mere facts and data. Instead, they present noble ideals, deep meaning, and purpose.
|
Books that feed the mind with living ideasOur books contain vibrant, rich ideas. These ideas are like seeds—they take root in the mind of a child and grow into something beautiful.

Why pay for Children's Legacy Library when the public library is free? Our financial investments reveal our personal values. Your children are worth the investment in the finest children's literature. And public libraries do not contain all that is good and noble in literature. At Children's Legacy Library, your children can roam the shelves and immerse themselves in a world of books while you have the peace of mind knowing that every book they lay their hands on is a treasured volume full of beautiful ideas and values. For the cost of taking your family out to eat a single meal, you can feed your children's hungry hearts and minds with living books for a full year.

Can't I just sort through public library books to find the good ones?Public libraries can be great resources. But public libraries offer what is current and popular—not what is good, noble, and beautiful. Further, most of the books offered in our library are out-of-print, have been discarded from public library shelves, and thus are extremely rare. Some of our books are worth hundreds of dollars. These are books you simply cannot find in your local public library.

Driving to Rogersville seems like such a long distance! For our library families, library day is a big occasion! Our members—moms, dads, and children alike—all eagerly anticipate their monthly field trip to the library, even if it's over an hour away. There is nothing like the smell of thousands of old books, the fellowship with other families at the library, and the satisfying feeling of driving away with a treasure trove in your trunk. Taking a day to devote to beautiful books communicates their value to your children and tells them that "we are a family who LOVES good books!"
